I like this Alan. Are the tree shadows stretching across morning trafic? or perhaps pedestrians stretching out with long strides through the traffic on their way somewhere? It's got me thinking! And early too!
It's literally looking out of my lovely window early this morning.
It was tree shadows dominating the main road, and so stretching across both the road and any traffic.
It's very much a haiku in progress, especially as I'd like to know the genus of the trees. It isn't the Lebanon cedar outside my window but trees on the other stretch of green.

I love this, but is the 'the' in line 2 superfluous?
