Some rain just lifts your mood doesn't it? ;-)

I had a neighbour dump a bag of our laundry from the garden saying we were using up space on the clothesline.

Firstly, there are three large rotating clotheslines,

secondly, no one else is going to put out shirts and sheets when it's raining except for two mad haiku poets.

Thank goodness for haiku rainy weather is all I can say.

Thanks Dennis! ;-)

Hi Alan! "Mizzle"? I can feel a misty drizzle. Is it a common word in the U.K.? I like it!

I think mizzle might be a poetic term although it's a good direct word for the kind of rain we had today, which was mizzle after all. ;-)

Feel free to use it! ;-)

Hi Melanie,

Here's a few definitions, always handy to have various names for different rainfall. ;-)

miz·zle 1 (mzl)

intr.v. miz·zled, miz·zling, miz·zles

To rain in fine, mistlike droplets; drizzle.

n.
A mistlike rain; a drizzle.
[Middle English misellen; probably akin to Dutch dialectal mieselen; see meigh- in Indo-European roots.]

Thesaurus

Noun
mizzle - very light rain; stronger than mist but less than a shower

Verb
mizzle - rain lightly;
"When it drizzles in summer, hiking can be pleasant"

all my best,

Alan
