One edge
hanging over the mountain--
the Milky Way

rain pearls clinging
the release --
then oblivion

This haiku catches rainy movement and brightness momentarily. And you bury one's feelings and thought in transient to disappear immediately in that. This haiku is wide and there is depth. The theme is a small thing such as the raindrop. ruma

I'd replace the word 'pearl'

I like it -- again a pearl captures a sense of timelessness, a treasured article of beauty -- but then oblivion negates that, doesn't it?
