the tree
planted long ago
grows slowly
beneath soil and root
she lies
sweet Queenie the cat
autumn leaves turn orange
clinging desperately to trees
sighing in the wind

A Barren Heath

on a barren heath
winters drab colors hold sway
spring a dream to come

Auras In Blue

wispy sky's afloat
shimmering auras in blue
summers last perfume
natures beauty grows
branches reaching to great heights
my silver oak climbs

Tiger Cat

the tree
planted long ago
beneath soil and roots she lies
sweet Queenie my cat

the oak
last leaves to fall
a majesty of bright orange
bows about it's roots

come spring, the first buds

Empty Bench

Autumn robed in gold
the leaves ever changing hues
remember what was

winds blow sleepy trees
covering a lonely bench
empty for all time

Bare Beaches

sandy beaches bare
misty clouds cloak the thin tide
faint laughter lingers

old autumns cascade
bright colors that scorch and burn
a bridge for lost souls

cold, stark, bare
we wait for winter

bare branches let the light shine weakly

gray skies fill me with glee
the smell, the feel, the sight
of fall is mine to keep

autumn, come and gone
rich russet leaves turn brown
gray skies, fill my soul with glee
the smelling of burning leaves
the crisp air fills my heart
sounds of moving on
the mere sight of Autumns gold
is all but mine to keep
cherry red leaves
fall at my feet
tomorrow is leaf day
long harsh winter nears
the earths beauty blinded in white
sweet elderberry hurry hurry
time to sleep and dream
coming winter's snow is deep
dream of warm days in the meadow

Winter Berry

winter berry bright
star in the night
red in the snow

the splendor of fall
through my window I can see
rich red maple trees
